Rhinoplasty can be performed in two main ways.
Closed Rhinoplasty

Open Rhinoplasty
When you have the open rhinoplasty procedure, a small skin incision is made on the skin of your columella (the skin inbetweeen the nostrils). Piezoelectric / Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty
This technique is getting more and more popular in recent years. The technique differs from the classical techniques where the bone that supports the structure of the nose is broken by the surgeons as a step in rhinoplasty procedure . When Piezoelectric/Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty technique is used, the bone is cut (not broken) by using special ultrasound cutting devices .
